Research at P2F

The analysis covers an electrolysis, a catalysis, a synthesis, the fuel and a process analysis.

A central challenge of P2F is the conversion of the surplus energy into the energy of chemical bonds. With the help of the electric power, an electrolysis can produce, for example, hydrogen that can be stored and continues to be used or further processed. On long-term view, the intention is to achieve the directly electro catalytic reduction of CO2. But this still requires fundamental research. Illustration: P2F_RWTH
